International network of academic forensic science institutes

Crime and its prevention and investigation are not limited by borders and therefore forensic science can be regarded as a truly international discipline. Hence, the CLHC has established an international network with the world’s leading academic institutes involved in forensic science. This allows the center to discuss future trends in the forensic field with international partners and to initiate international collaborations.
International Partners

Such collaborations can be small e.g. in the form of an international internship of a student from the Forensic Science Master of the UvA or an international student visiting a CLHC institute. However, these contacts have also lead to European consortia applying for funding for forensic science projects within the H2020 program.

In this way international contacts enable new projects and strengthen forensic science within the partner institutes and countries.
